Watermarked content delivery

Live. Watermarked. Monitored.

Share playlists of any file type with anyone, anywhere — all they need is an email address. Every copy is forensically watermarked, every play is logged, and playlists are never final: add, swap, and remove assets at any time.

Watermarking & delivery technology

  • MSI forensic audio watermarking
  • StudioCDN delivery
  • Dolby video transcoding
  • AWS storage & delivery infrastructure

The problem

Email attachments and generic file transfers can't tell you who leaked

Unreleased masters, cuts, and campaign assets move through dozens of hands before release day. The moment they leave your hands, they are out of your control.

The solution

A playlist that stays yours after you hit send

StudioLocker replaces the attachment with a live, watermarked playlist. Recipients get a link and a player; you decide whether they can stream or download, and you keep the master, the audit trail, and the ability to change what they see at any time.

A recipient listening to a watermarked playlist in StudioLocker's built-in player

Every copy is watermarked

Each recipient's audio & video is forensically watermarked to them. A leak points back to a name, not a crowd.

Every play is logged

Streams and downloads are recorded per recipient, so you always know who has seen what, and when.

Nothing is ever final

Add, swap, or remove assets and recipients on a live playlist. Everyone sees the current version, and revoked access ends immediately.

How it works

One upload. One playlist. To all of your recipients.

Locker runs the entire toolchain — watermark, deliver, and monitor — automatically on every send.

Create: the Edit Playlist form with cover art, name, description, contacts and files

Living playlists

Edit a delivery after you've sent it

A Locker playlist isn't a fire-and-forget zip file — it's a live container. Add the new mix, pull the old cut, add a late-joining reviewer or remove one who's off the project. Changes propagate to every recipient, and one click notifies them all.

  • Add and remove files and recipients on an active playlist
  • New recipients automatically get their own watermarked copies
  • Toggle download permission per playlist at any time
  • Notify recipients of the updates

Forensic watermark

Inaudible to people. Unmistakable in a leak.

Every audio and video file in a playlist carries MSI's forensic watermark — the technology behind the RIAA Watermarking Standard, which MSI supports and administers for the recording industry. A unique payload is embedded in the signal itself, one per recipient. It can't be heard or seen, it survives re-encoding and re-recording, and it's registered against the sender, recipient, file, and time of delivery.

  • RIAA-compliant watermarking for audio
  • Unique payload per recipient, per file
  • Imperceptible in playback; no impact on the listening or viewing experience
  • Survives transcoding, compression, and analogue capture
  • Registered in MSI's forensic registry so a recovered copy resolves to a name
  • Favored by all the major record labels

Formats

Built for the formats studios actually use

Any file type can go in a playlist. Audio and video are forensically watermarked per recipient; images and documents support visible watermarking and in-browser viewing; everything else is delivered securely with the same logging and access control.
