FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Recipients create a free read-only account in one step from the delivery email — no license, seat, or software install. Once registered, everything you've shared with them (and everything you add later) appears in their locker automatically.

A forensic watermark is an imperceptible payload embedded into the audio or video signal itself — inaudible and invisible in playback, but recoverable by analysis. Locker gives every recipient a uniquely watermarked copy and registers each payload against the delivery, so a leaked file can be traced back to the copy it came from.

Forensic audio watermarking covers wav, mp3, aiff, aac, flac, and ogg. Forensic video watermarking covers mov, pro-res, mp4, mxf, and avi. Visible watermarking additionally covers video, images, and PDFs. Any other file type can be stored, organized, and delivered as-is.

Yes — that's the point of a live playlist. Add or remove files and recipients on an active delivery, switch download permission on or off, and re-notify everyone with one click. New recipients get their own watermarked copies automatically.

Only if you allow it. Downloads are a per-playlist permission you control. Whether streamed or downloaded, every recipient's file is their own watermarked copy, served through a signed link that expires within minutes.

Uploads run as resumable multi-part transfers in the background — a dropped connection picks up where it left off rather than starting over. Multi-gigabyte masters and pro-res video are normal workloads, not edge cases.

Locker is built by Media Science International (MSI), trusted by the media and entertainment industries for over 20 years to watermark, track, and deliver high-profile, sensitive assets. Video transcoding is provided by Dolby.

Locker is provisioned for organizations rather than sold as self-serve sign-up. Request a demo and the team will walk through your workflow and set up your organization. Recipients of your deliveries never need to be provisioned — they register free from the delivery email.
